Before & After School Care
That Puts Kids First
At Peak Sports and Learning, we believe the hours before and after school should be just as enriching, exciting, and supportive as the school day itself. That’s why, in 2010, three passionate teachers – Ashleigh Neill, Grant Neill, and John Good, founded Peak with a clear vision: to create high quality care programs where children don’t just spend time, they thrive.
From the very beginning, Peak has been more than just a place to wait until pickup.
Our programs are grounded in the principles of the National Quality Framework, designed to promote healthy lifestyles, support academic growth, and nurture every child’s wellbeing.
We prioritise fun, friendships, and meaningful experiences, all delivered in a safe, vibrant, and inclusive environment that truly puts kids first.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is built on FITNESS, EDUCATION & FUN – the key ingredients to helping children get active, stay curious, and enjoy rewarding experiences. Our goal is to support each child’s intellectual, social, emotional, creative, and physical development through a balanced and engaging program.
We design our programs to reflect the needs of families and our community, offering inclusive, stimulating experiences that encourage active lifestyles, social development, and critical thinking. Our warm, nurturing environment supports both indoor and outdoor learning and provides the highest level of care for each child.
We aim to build strong, meaningful relationships with families and the wider community, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural inclusion. Sustainability, diversity, and respect are embedded in everything we do.
To achieve all this, we invest in passionate, knowledgeable educators who are committed to delivering exceptional care and enriching learning experiences for every child.
Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Peak Sports and Learning, the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of every child in our care is our highest priority. We are committed to creating and maintaining environments where children feel safe, supported, and respected at all times.
We uphold a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and actively embed child safe values into all areas of our service, from governance and leadership to day-to-day practice. We recognise our legal and moral obligations under the Children’s Guardian Act 2019 and other relevant child protection laws, and we are committed to meeting all Child Safe Standards as outlined by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
We are committed to:
• Embedding the Child Safe Standards in our daily programs and practices to ensure child safety is a consistent part of everyday practice across all Peak services.
• Creating child-safe environments through active supervision, professional conduct, and inclusive, empowering relationships with children.
• Hiring the right people through robust recruitment practices, including Working With Children Checks, reference checks, and values-based interviews.
• Ongoing training and education for all staff and volunteers to ensure they understand their role in identifying, preventing, and responding to child safety risks.
• Fostering strong community connections, working closely with school principals, the Department of Education, and Authorised Officers to support a culture of transparency and trust.
• Actively identifying and managing risks to ensure physical and online environments are safe for all children.
• Maintaining clear policies and procedures, including a Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct, Child Safe Risk Management Plan, and Complaints Procedure to support consistent, accountable practice.
All staff, including casuals and volunteers, are held to the highest standard of conduct and are expected to contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for children and young people.
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility. At Peak, we are united in our commitment to continuous improvement, honest communication, and ensuring that every child feels safe, seen, and supported.
