About the Role

As a Centre Supervisor, you will lead a team of educators to deliver high-quality Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs. You will foster a positive team culture, support children’s wellbeing and development, build strong relationships with families and schools, and ensure the service operates safely and in line with all legislative and quality requirements.

Casual Educators – Nowra, St Georges Basin, Ulladulla

We are looking for casual educators to join our teams in the Nowra and Basin areas.

Shifts available for Before School Care and After School Care, as well as school holiday care.

Shifts available between 6:00am – 9:00am, 2:00 – 6:30pm during school terms and between 7:00am – 6:30pm during school holidays.

Working under a centre supervisor the key responsibilities will be:

• Active supervision of children and coordination of activities.

• Implementation of the program and engaging with the children.

• Building relationships with children and families.

• To recognise the needs of children at different stages of development and to ensure these needs are met.

• There are also opportunities for career progression and regular professional development.

What will you need?

• A commitment to child safety

Passion for working with children and having FUN!

• Valid paid Working with Children Check required if you are over the age of 18.

• Certificate verifying completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course.

• Certificate verifying completion of the Food Handlers Basic Course.

Career FAQ’s

No, you don’t need prior experience! We provide on-the-job training and support for new educators. A passion for working with children and a positive attitude are most important.

To work at Peak, you’ll need:

Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Your certificate verifying completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course.

Your certificate verifying completion of the Food Handlers Basic Course.

For Educator roles, a qualification isn’t required — but studying or holding a Cert III or Diploma in Education, Youth Work, or a related field is a bonus.

Peak operates before school, after school, and during school holidays. Shifts typically include:

Before School Care: 6:30am – 9:00am

After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm

Vacation Care: Full-day shifts available between 6:30am – 6:00pm (max 8 hour shifts)

Pay is based on your age, experience, and qualification level under the Children’s Services Award (MA000120).

We operate at locations between Woonona East and Ulladulla. Refer to ‘Our Locations’ tab for our specific locations.
